Post-16/Post-18 Parent Carer Financial Toolkit

Join Rhiannon Gogh, (FPFS) of Planit Future Financial Limited to understand the ‘Financial Need to Knows’ for parent carers of a vulnerable young person
Once a child turns 18 they are immediately assumed to be able to manage their own finances. This comes as a shock to many parent carers, especially where there are vulnerabilities or additional needs involved. Our session looks at the decision-making tools which can be used to help young adults with financial decisions, but also plans out when to prepare for finances in adulthood, how to access savings and carry out everyday banking.
Rhiannon Gogh is a Chartered Financial Adviser and parent carer to an autistic son. Rhiannon has supported various Parent Carer Forums since 2017 and recognises there is a struggle to find credible, straightforward advice on how to provide for the future. In this course she runs through financial planning for the transition to adulthood and 5 steps parent carers can take in preparation. It is aimed at any parent carer of a young person with additional needs approaching the transition to adulthood.
This workshop is free and delivered securely via Microsoft Teams, with other parent carers. Spaces are limited and will be offered on a first come first serve basis.
