CAMHS Parent Participation
March 13, 2024 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Sussex Partnership’s Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) supports children and young people who are affected by specific mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder.
These conditions can impact a young person’s wellbeing and their ability to develop fulfilling and enriching lives. If a child or young person reaches crisis, it can be a very overwhelming time for both the child and their parent carers.
We know that many of our families have experienced crisis with their child, and we understand that it can be very difficult to manage this.
We have offered feedback to the Duty Team about your experiences so far, and they are keen to offer support.
The Duty and Liaison team have offered their time to come and meet with us, and talk openly with parent carers about what this service provides, how the crisis should be managed (such as whether someone is advised to call emergency services or attend A&E), and what you can do as a caregiver to support your young person.
Booking forms will be sent to our forum members beginning of next week so if you are not yet a member, sign up now using the sign up button at the top of this page.
