Changes to EHCPs and SEND Support

There has been a lot of talk recently about reducing the number of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). The NNPCF has shared their views on this.

 

They have said

  • We support the idea of a more inclusive education system — but families should not have to fight for support.
  • Support should be available even if a child doesn’t have an EHCP.
  • Families must be involved in any changes, and the government must provide proper funding and trained staff.
